Paint and Sealer Checker
Check the surface, the paint, and how you will use the piece before you buy sealer. This is the same advice as the guides, not a lab test and not a product endorsement.
What This Checker Will Always Tell You
- Keep rims unpainted on drinkware. Paint that touches lips does not belong on a glass you might drink from.
- Most craft glass paint is not food-safe. Non-toxic is not the same as sold for food contact. Sealer does not change that.
- Air-dry, then wait for the full cure on the bottle before you seal or wash. Dry to the touch is not cured. Only bake if the paint you bought says to.
- Hand wash. A dishwasher will strip craft paint even after a sealer.
This is practical studio advice, not a laboratory result and not an approval claim.
